started making American Windsor Chairs in 1993 at John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, North Carolina. After I made my first Loop Back Chair, I became fascinated by the gracefulness of the Windsor design and would return each year on my vacation to make a different style Windsor chair under the guidance of Dana Hatheway. Dana Hatheway is a cabinetmaker and former resident artist at John C. Campbell Folk School. He resides in Warne, North Carolina. To further my craft skills in making American Windsor Chairs, I studied one-on-one with Curtis Buchanan, a master Windsor Chairmaker, in Jonesborough, Tennessee.

Currently I make American Windsor Chairs full-time, and teach Windsor Chairmaking both at John C. Campbell Folk School and one-on-one at my shop.
